Community Guidelines

Your use of Martindale-Hubbell Connected is governed by these guidelines and by the LexisNexis Terms & Conditions. Please read this page, even if you are an experienced user of online communities. Violating these guidelines may result in the termination of your Martindale-Hubbell Connected account without warning.

Share your knowledge, opinions and experiences. Not only will you make a positive contribution to the community, but you'll also build a reputation as someone with good information to offer.

Act with courtesy. It's in the nature of legal professionals to disagree and to argue their cases, and we expect that. If you can do so with respect toward others, criticizing an idea rather than a person, you have the opportunity to earn the respect of those following the conversation. Do not use obscenity or hate speech.

Ask great questions. You'll uncover new information, develop your own body of knowledge and build connections with others.

Post on-topic. Moderators reserve the right to move your post(s) to the proper Forum. For instance, technical and forum-related questions and opinions belong in the Connected Member Support area.

Avoid disruptive behavior. A good, on-topic answer post may include a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information. Do not post links that are unrelated to the topic, contain viruses or malicious programs, or are clearly meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain. Do not post the same thing multiple times or in multiple locations in Martindale-Hubbell Connected ("spamming").

Obey the law. Report any activity you observe that violates the laws of your country, state, province, or city. This includes, but is not limited to, claiming others' copyrighted or trademarked material; threatening, harassing or impersonating others, and invading other people's privacy.

Information shared in Martindale-Hubbell Connected is for the benefit of its members only. Please see the LexisNexis Terms & Conditions.

Be yourself. Each member may only have one active profile at any time, which must correspond to his or her real professional identity. Disclose any conflicts you have when posting information on a topic to which you have a financial interest.
