Great post Michael - I love the opening about the students in the pottery class making better pottery when they are forced to crank out pot after pot. This really says something about the way we learn by doing. So many of us, myself included, want to do things "just right" that we paralyze ourselves by perfection. Your story shows that it is only by consistently putting yourself out there and trying that you get anywhere.
