I have three clients who are naturalized American citizens and who, when they went overseas to their birth areas, were told by the US embassies there that they are on the "no-fly" list and that in order to be able to return home by plane they would have to submit to an interview by the FBI without counsel present. They resisted and are now at the early stages of a lawsuit against the US government. In addition, one of the three was subjected to 106 days of "torture by proxy" by the UAE from June to September 2011.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Do you have any suggestions or information to share?
